Pigment Carbon Black: What is pouring density?

2020-02-07 10:32:46 9

Pouring density is the main indicator of granular carbon black. The apparent density (also known as fine powder content) of powdered carbon black without granulation is very small, only between 80-190Kg /. Its volume is large and easy to fly, which makes it difficult to package, transport, store, mix process and disperse of carbon black. Except for a small amount of pigment carbon black, which requires powder, almost all industrially produced carbon black must be wet granulation or compression (acetylene black). The densification effect of the granulation process effectively reduces the apparent volume per unit mass of carbon black. The pour density of the granulated carbon black is about 300-500Kg /.
